NLA SUPPORTS HISTORIC TRANS AFRICAN TOURISM AND UNITY CAMPAIGN
On 18th August 2025, the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah and Hon. Ras Mubarak, officially launched the Trans African Tourism and Unity Campaign in Accra. This initiative marks the beginning of a 40,000 -kilometer road journey across 39 African countries in 163 days, with the central objective of promoting a visa free Africa by 2030.
Strategically aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the campaign envisions a united, prosperous, and integrated continent. Led by former Ghanaian legislator, Ras Mubarak, the initiative promotes continental unity and cultural exchange, sustainable tourism, youth empowerment and cross border collaboration. In his remarks, the former legislator stressed the urgency of the mission to unlock the continent’s potential in tourism,trade,and cultural exchange.
The campaign is powered by a coalition of partners across finance, energy, telecommunications, hospitality, insurance, and civil society including the Ghana National Petroleum Commission. Stanbic Bank Ghana and Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel. The NLA through its Good Causes Foundation is proud to be a partner and sponsor, affirming its commitment to driving positive change beyond borders. The journey kicks off from Accra, with the first stop in Lomé, Togo, before traversing several African countries including Mozambique on its way to Morocco.
