DIRECTOR - GENERAL EMBARKS ON REGIONAL TOUR OF KUMASI AND SUNYANI OFFICES
The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Salam, has embarked on the second phase of his regional tour, visiting the Kumasi and Sunyani Regional Offices. Dubbed a "Family Meeting", the tour provided an opportunity for direct engagement between the Director-General and staff in these regions.
Mr. Abdul-Salam explained that the purpose of the tour was to give staff the platform to express their views directly to him, to enable fact-finding, and to familiarise himself with the operations and administration of the regional offices.
During the interactive sessions, staff highlighted key challenges affecting their work, including the breakdown of vehicles and machines, inadequate working logistics, and the lack of training opportunities.
The Director-General also used the opportunity to introduce Mr. Roland Kofi Mbui, the newly appointed Director for Special Duties. Addressing staff, Mr. Mbui expressed his gratitude for the valuable insights he had gained during the tour so far and noted his readiness to learn even more as he undertakes his new role.
The Regional Managers - Mr. Joseph Dassah of the Kumasi Regional Office and Ms. Eunice Effah of the Sunyani Regional Office - expressed their appreciation to the Director-General and his team for the visit and for the assurance of swift action on the concerns raised.
Accompanying the Director-General on the tour were Mr. Roland Kofi Mbui (Director, Special Duties), Ms. Crystle Asa-Eck (Ag. Director, Legal), Mrs. Modesta Fosu-Ofori (Ag. Director, Human Resources), Mr. Kadiri Abdul Rauf Issifu (Coordinator, Good Causes Foundation) and Mr. Umar-Farouk Abubakari (Executive Secretary to the Director-General).
