NLA ENGAGES PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
On Saturday, June 21, NLA briefed Parliament’s Finance Committee on its operations and business plans.
The Committee Chairman, Hon. Isaac Adongo, MP for Bolgatanga Central, emphasized that the meeting was part of the committee’s oversight duties and would help members better understand NLA’s role in national revenue generation.
The Director-General, Mr. Abdul Salam, shared updates on the Authority’s innovations and new partnerships aimed at modernizing operations and boosting revenue.
Hon. Adongo also encouraged the NLA to collaborate more closely with the Ministry of Finance and Parliament to amend the NLA Act to align with global standards and improve contributions to the Consolidated Fund.
In attendance were the Board Chairman, Mr. Frederick Amissah, Director-General, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Salam, Acting Director of SBI, Mr. David Lamptey, Director of Finance, Mr. Martin Amaniampong, Acting Director of Legal, Ms. Crystle Asa-Eck, Mr. Umar-Farouk Abubakari, Executive Secretary to the DG, and Mr. Kadiri Abdul Rauf Isifu, Coordinator of the Good Causes Foundation.
