On Wednesday, 28th May 2025, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Dr. Yakubu Seidu Adam paid a courtesy call on the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Salam, as part of his familiarization tour of institutions within the KBTH enclave in Accra.

During the visit, Dr. Adam called for a partnership between the NLA and the hospital, noting that most of the services provided by Korle Bu are humanitarian in nature. He appealed to the Authority to support the hospital in resolving some of its pressing challenges, particularly the issue of aging generators.

The Director-General welcomed the call and assured the hospital of NLA's support, emphasizing that no one knows when a staff of the Authority might require urgent medical attention. He added that supporting the hospital also forms part of NLA's commitment to national development and public welfare.

The meeting was attended by some members of the Executive Management.
