GBESE MANTSE PRESENTS CITATION TO BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER TO GHANA

On behalf of the Director-General of NLA, Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Salam, the Deputy Director General, Mr. Eric Yeboah Wadie, attended a ceremony at the Gbese palace in honour of the British High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Harriette Thompson.
The Gbese Mantse, HRM Dr. Nii Ayi Bonte II, presented a citation to H.E. Harriette Thompson, highlighting her vital role during Ghana's 2024 elections. The citation lauded her exemplary work and support for Ghana's peaceful and transparent elections and her efforts in fostering diplomatic and cultural relations between Gbese and the UK Government.

In a solidarity and congratulatory message, Mr. Eric Yeboah Wadie, on behalf of the DG, congratulated H.E. Harriet Thompson and the UK Government for their commitment and support in ensuring that Ghana remains the beacon of democracy in Africa and complimented her personal efforts in visiting some polling stations in the Korle Klottey Constituency to monitor the electoral process.

The DDG also joined the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, H.E. Harriet Thompson, and other heads of institutions to launch and unveil the 2025 Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Charity Cup trophy. This sets the tone for the football tournament, which will be played during the celebration of the Homowo Festival to unite the people of Gbese and surrounding communities.

The DDG and other dignitaries were presented with medals, symbolizing their role as ambassadors of peace and unity ahead of the Homowo Peace tournament.
